There are three nozzle accessories included with the Sunbeam: a lint brush, a short-bristle brush, and a steam stick. According to the manufacturer, the lint brush is intended to extract lint, pollen, and pet fur, while the short-bristle brush loosens the fibers of heavy fabrics to allow for greater steam penetration. Although the lint brush did an outstanding job of refreshing the green velvet couch that my kitten has claimed as his nap spot, I wouldn’t use it on clothes, particularly delicate pieces. According to the experts I consulted with, you can still keep your steamer several inches away from – never directly on – your clothes. Similarly, I’d be cautious about using the brush on, say, a wool suit, though thicker upholstery and short-pile rugs should be fine.
